Income tax is tax on income collected directly from the person who earns it. This class is as per Finance Act, 2020 which is for financial year 2020-21 and assessment year 2021-22. In this lecture we are discussing two basis of taxation. One is source basis which is primary basis of taxation and the other is resident basis of taxation which is secondary basis of taxation. Foreign income is taxable in India only when a person is resident in India.
